Emotions are good Being emotional is not good: Samanji
Peace of Mind

Emotions are good Being emotional is not good ( Discourse given by Saman Shrutpragyaji at Memphis, USA on May 13, 2021 )

Bhav is good but Bhavukta is bad

Emotions get irritated then gets frustration and then gets anger and Dhvesh

Dhvesh(hateret) is compressed anger

Bhav is positive emotions brings 4 thing

1 compession

2  Maitry Bhav ( Friendlyhood )

3 appreciation gratitude

4 ignore negativity (not react)

Getting tooooo happy or tooo sad are negative emotions

Three ways

1 Don’t promise out of too much excitement and happiness

2 Never make decision when mental state is disturbed (instead wait, relax and then make it)

3 When you are angry then don’t say anything at that time

What happens When someone is go through   unfavorable situations

1 Denial then

2 Anger then

3 Arguments then

4 depression

5 Acceptance (ultimate positive step)

☝️ Example when Corona came first in India

Who is weak and who is strong (emotionally )

If you want anyone to change or situation to change then you are the weak person because you think I’m prefact and I don’t make any mistake.

Strong person is the person who accept the way the other person or situation are.

What to do to balance emotions?

1 try to energize your body (yogic or sports or physical activity)

2 connect yourself with nature

3 keep your stomach and body clean (don’t eat grains all the time)

4 take charge of your own feelings and emotions (meditation helps, don’t react on small stuff, write your feelings on papers or share with only closed one, share your emotions and have someone listen to it, adapt spiritual practice such as reading or satsang)

They are all Nimitt☝

Attachment (Rag, Dwesh) are the reason for all the emotions

If you want to work on balancing emotions then work on your attachments

Acceptance or (anitya bhav) teaches us that no situation is permanent. Whatever is United are going to get divided and can bring sadness

When person is emotionally disturb will have what kind of Gati at the end of life?

We have to prepare our mind to detach ?

- Whatever I have now will go away one day no matter what so that we have to accept.

 - Anxiety or fear came is not a problem but how long you hold on to it is a problem. Don’t hold on to it for too long.

 - Each and every Saiyog has viyog and accept it.

 - Each nd everyone have to go through their own pain and suffering. No one can take it away. (Anyatva Bhavna)

Janma, jara, budhapa, mrutyoo everyone has to go through.

end the session with:
